What Is The Main Reason Christmas Should Be Celebrated?
The main reason Christmas should be celebrated is that Christmas helps to reflect, celebrate, and publicized the perfect work of salvation to the world through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We celebrate Christmas because it represents the birthday of Jesus Christ who came and died for the sins of the whole world.
Christmas demonstrates the perfect love of God to mankind d through the ultimate sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ
John 3:16 NKJV “For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”
Through this great sacrifice, salvation is offered to all that believe in Jesus Christ alone.
Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”
Whether Jesus Christ was born on the 25 December or not as important as the reason for the celebration is more important than the date for the celebration.
There are many reasons people, even some Christian denominations do not celebrate Christmas. One such reason is that the selected date set aside to celebrate Christmas may be inaccurate
Well, according to different literature sources, I understand that the celebration of Christmas started in Rome about 336. However, it did not become a major Christian festival until the 9th century.
However, December 25 is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the date itself, and several of the customs we’ve come to associate with Christmas evolved from pagan traditions celebrating the winter solstice.
The word Christmas was derived from the Middle English word “Cristemasse”, which is an Old English word “Cristes-messe,”
It means Christ’s Mass. That is Jesus Christ’s “Mass”
The word “Mass” is the Roman Catholic Church’s central act of worship is derived from the ecclesiastical Latin formula for the dismissal of the congregation: ”Ite, missa est “ which is “Go”, it is the sending away or dismissal.
Of course, we are not talking about the physical mass of Christ’s body. The origin of mass, in the Christian sense of the word, is not entirely clear.
First called the Feast of the Nativity, the custom spread to Egypt by 432 and to England by the end of the sixth century. By the end of the eighth century, the celebration of Christmas had spread to Scandinavia.
It started by traditions, such as decorating trees, started in Germany, and later spread to other parts of the world, notably England and the United States.
Therefore, as a Christian, believing that God came into the world in the form of man to die and resurrect for the sins of humanity, rather than knowing Jesus’ exact birth date, is more important and the main reason for celebrating Christmas.

Suggestions On How You Should Celebrate The Next Christmas
1. Let the meaning of Christmas exemplified in you first.
If you have not received the Lord Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior, then you need to do that now. You need to be born to have the meaning of Christmas imported in your life.
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name”
Receiving Jesus Christ into your life through born is not a hard thing to do. It does not involve any sacrifice of a herculean task. It just needs you to believe and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised from the dead, you will be saved”
If you are not born again yet and want to receive salvation today, say this prayer and mean it from your heart.
Prayer Of Salvation
Almighty God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe Your word that says, “…that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
I now believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. I believe Jesus died, was buried, and raised from the dead for my sins.
I confess now, with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit by faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul and making me a new creation in Jesus’ name, Halleluiah!

2. Use The Occasion To Share The Gospel Messages With Others
The next most important way to celebrate Christmas is through sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
Now that you are born again, God expects you to testify of his wonderful work of salvation in your life with others, so that they too will get to know the main reason for Christmas.
God expects you to be an instrument for the salvation of others just as you have received salvation through the mouth of others yourself.
You also let others know about the best way to celebrate Christmas and give them salvation in the process.
2 Corinthians 5:18 NKJV “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
God has given you the ministry of reconciliation, this ministry is the ministry to bring people to God just as you were brought to God through messages by other others.
3. Celebrate Christmas With Family And Friends
The next most important way to celebrate Christ is the traditional Christmas celebration with family and friends.
Unfortunately, this the only aspect of the Christmas celebration that many people know.
Since it is the most known way of the Christmas celebration world.
I will not suggest for more than just to advise that you do not use the occasion to drink too many alcoholic drinks, do drugs, or engage in promiscuity.
Rather, it is time to share God’s love referencing the love of God in your life.
4. Celebrate Christmas With Community Outreach And Charity Service
The next most important suggestion is to organize community outreach and charity for the poor and fewer privileges around.
You can organize to go to orphanages homeless, destitute around with gifts and foodstuff to give them a decent means at least to commemorate the love of God to the world.
James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and keep oneself unspotted from the world”
Matthew 19:21 “Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you heave treasure in heaven; and come, follow mew”
There you have it, one main reason and four suggested ways to celebrate the next Christmas
